If you're already an owner of Anchor Bay's 1999 release of Dawn, you may be wondering if it's worth the upgrade to the new Divimax edition. Despite being slightly different cuts of the film (the '99 release is 1 minute longer than the new '04 release), the Divimax edition is well worth the money. Colors are more accurate (if a little darker) and the wider aspect ratio opens up some new information on the sides of the frame. Unfortunately, still pictures can't show just how much better the movie looks without the little scratches, hairs, and lines that plagued AB's original release.
